Earlier last month, the EPA banned several toxic chemicals from the consumer market for mice control purposes… Sadly, this may be too late to save a large population of great horned owl species, whose livers are particularly susceptible to even small amount of rat and mouse poisons.

Salutations!

Welcome to my raptor resource! I am a novice falconer, about to start my apprenticeship, hopefully one day to be quite skilled in all raptor-related sport.

You may wonder how I fell into this… partially due to an unfortunate mice control problem on my property, but mostly due to a life-long interest in these magnificent creatures. Being a sports fan in Georgia, it only makes sense that I would try and be well versed in all that is hawk, falcon, or thrasher related :)

But I am glad you’ve stumbled to my humble site, check back for photos and tips as I learn this interesting practice!
